Meet our little Elyana!

uhadmyheaert

Our family is honored to finally be able to share pictures of our little one waiting for us in China.

Elyana was left at the gate of the Children’s Welfare Institute in Baoji City, China on Nov. 31, 2011, at only 5 days old.  She has been taken care of by her orphanage ever since.  At 3 months of age she had successful surgery for Spina Bifida, and we’ve been told she has a special need of club feet. When the mission team went to our daughters orphanage we were given a positive, encouraging report from a physical therapist who went with the team.  After arriving in the U.S. Elyana will be seen by a team of specialists at a trusted Children’s Hospital within 2wks.

Our adoption agency has partnered with her orphanage and helps in providing them with the much-needed support to give these children the best care possible.

We are pleased to introduce our little daughter….

Orphanages often dress children in multiple layered, warm clothing.  We’ve been told some orphanages don’t have as much heat in the winter months, and that Chinese women bundle children as a way to keep them healthy.  We weren’t told the exact date of these photos, but the medical information was dated Jan. 2012, so we assume they were taken sometime around that date.  So if the that would make her 14 months old in the pictures.

She is soooo beautiful and perfect in every way.  We’ve all fallen very much in love with her!  This week we will receive another update with 2 more new pictures of her, and will share those also when we get them!

Thank you ALL for your love and support throughout this whole process.  Each one of you has been a blessing to us & we can’t wait for her to meet all our loving, caring family and friends.
