Video In Memory of ~ Kya Marilyn Keen

Thank you for all the prayers for our family and the other adoptive families in our tightly knit group & most of all for Kyas family throughout this week. This video sums up what a gift Kya was. It was an honor to know her & a comfort that so many of you would walk through this journey along with Tracy & all who loved her little girl.

With Kya in heaven we will always feel a piece of us missing….for she is not only permanently woven into our children’s stories, but forever into all our hearts.

We love you Kya & today we celebrate you.

Memorial fund details from Tracy:

Hello to all,

I wanted to pass along some information for those of you who may be interested.  After chatting with our bank this morning, we decided to not set up another acct for Kya but to simply have a POC locally here who will take any donations sent and have them sent directly to our bank.  So with that said, if you would like to contribute monetary gifts, please make out your check payable to Don C Keen or Tracy Keen.  Then mail the check to our POC:

Jana Taft 7979 Valeria Place

Sedro Woolley, WA 98284

Again, if monetary gifts are not possible, that is sooooo ok with us.  We will accept any expression of love for our bear.

If you would like to send flowers to the NC location, the funeral home is West and Dunn located in Newton Grove, NC.

I am also including a link set up by Whidbey Memorial for Kya’s obit announcement.  My uncle, who is a funeral director in FL, also included the link on his website for all my FL family to see.

  1. Thank you for sharing the slideshow of her beautiful life. God sent an angel to bless us all for a short time and we will see her “in a little while” and what a glorious time that will be!

  2. I live in nappanee Indiana and know Mindy Myers. Such a touching tribute you did to your beautiful daughter. So glad you could make her happy in her short time on this earth. I can see her dancing in Jesus arms as she did with her loving father in the rocking chair. Many blessings to your family as you struggle with your loss but rejoice you will see her again
